What's New in HR Management for Spectrum 2024 R12
The 2024 R12 release introduces T4 notifications and the option to show or hide your employer tax ID on tax statements. This release is available as of December 18, 2024.
Coming Soon! T4 Notifications
The admin settings available from the Notification Settings page ( ) now apply to T4 slips in addition to W-2 forms, allowing you to send notifications to employees when they have a new T4 slip available in your portal starting in 2025.

To send notifications when employees have a new T4 slip or W-2 form available, enable the setting Earnings Notification.

To allow employees to opt out of receiving notifications for all new tax statements and personal information changes, enable the setting Allow Employees to opt out of ALL digital notifications. Employees will then have an option to mute notifications from their Notification Preferences page.

Employee Notification Preferences
On the employee Notification Preferences page, the checkbox used to mute W-2 notifications has been changed to Tax Statements. Employees can select this checkbox to mute notifications for new T4 slips or W-2 forms.
Show or Hide Employer Tax ID on Pay Statement Templates
New Tax Statement Template section on the pay stub template allows you to show or hide your employer tax ID on W-2 forms and T4 slips. From the page, scroll to the bottom of the Paystub Statement Template section. Under Tax Statement Template, select the appropriate options under Employer Tax ID.

Select Display Employer Identification Number (EIN) on the W-2 to show your employer tax ID on W-2 forms (defaults as checked).

Select Display Employer Account Number on the T4 to show your employer account number on T4 slips (defaults as checked).

Pay Stub Enhancements

The PDF version of pay statements now includes the following:

A header on all pages that lists the employee's name, check number, and check date.

A footer on all pages that shows the page number and total page count (for example, 1 of 3).
In addition, pay statements generated after May 1, 2024, will show the company logo in the upper right of the PDF version. Pay statements generated before May 1, 2024, will show the legacy version of the PDF with the logo in the upper left.

The company name and address are now included in the HTML view of pay stubs.
