Upload models to Trimble Connect

You can upload models from Revit to Trimble Connect.

To upload models from Revit:
  1. Launch the Revit application and open a model.
  2. In the Revit ribbon, select Trimble Connect and then select Start Collaboration.
  3. Select a project in the Trimble Connect for Revit section.
  4. To define the scope of the model to be uploaded, select the settings icon (gear icon).
  5. Expand the Upload menu and select one off the following options in the 3D view section:
    1. Upload model from default 3D view: The publisher will upload a view named Trimble Connect. If this view does not exist, a view named {3D} will be uploaded. If these two views do not exist in the Project Browser section, the first view in the list will be uploaded.
    2. Upload Current View: The currently active 3D view will be uploaded.
      Note: During upload, the scope and view filter that you have selected will get applied to the model.
  6. To rename the model, in the Publish tab, select the edit icon next to the model and select Rename.
    Note: If you would like to go back to the original name, select Revert to default name.
  7. To choose the folder to which you want to upload the model, select Select Target folder.
  8. Select the desired folder for upload, or select + and then select Create folder to create a new folder.
  9. Enter the folder’s name in the Name field and select Submit.
  10. Select the folder that you created.
  11. Select Save Target.
  12. To export the model to Trimble Connect, select Publish.
