What's New in Trimble Pay 5.0 - January 2026

What's New lists the enhancements and changes available in the Trimble Pay 5.0 release. This release is available in January 2026.

Trimble Identity (ID)

All Trimble Pay users have been upgraded to log in with Trimble ID for a better software experience across the broader Trimble Pay ecosystem.

Subcontractors

  • Simplified Notarization Login

With Trimble ID, the notarization process has be streamlined for in-person e-notary. The secondary user (Notary) no longer needs to manually enter their email, password, or pin. Instead, on the page, when Notarize via Trimble ID is selected a separate login window opens.

For more information, see E-Notarize a Document.

  • Streamlined Sign a Payment Application

With Trimble ID, subcontractors are no longer required to enter a PIN after selecting Sign document.

For more information, see Submit an Application for Payment.

  • Updated Requirements for Bank Accounts

With Trimble ID, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is required in order to add or remove a bank account. If MFA is not enabled a warning message displays when the Payment info tab on the Company settings page is selected.

For more information on adding or removing a bank account, see Connect an Online Bank Account to Receive ACH Payments and Connect a Bank Account to Receive ACH Payments - Manual.

  • Verifying Receipt of Payment

With Trimble ID, company admins are no longer required to use a PIN when verifying payments.

For more information, see Verify Receipt of a Payment.

Trimble Assistant for Trimble Pay

Trimble Pay now includes the Trimble Assistant chat agent. Use the assistant to ask specific questions about the tasks you can perform in Trimble Pay. To start a chat session, select the Trimble Assistant icon located at the bottom, right-hand corner of the application.

Important: Trimble Assistant is trained only on Trimble Pay-related content on the Trimble Help website. The assistant does not have access to any of your company's data or any data within the Trimble Pay database.

Trimble Assistant Chat Tips

  • Trimble Assistant is still learning: To improve results, ask specific questions. If you do not get a helpful answer the first time, try rephrasing your question. For example, "As a subcontractor, how do I…?".
  • Trimble Assistant is looking for feedback: Select Rate Responses in the lower right of the chat window to rank and comment on the answer to your question. Your feedback will be used to improve the assistant and documentation as needed.
