Set Up a T+M Phase for a Fixed or Unit Price Job

Sometimes a fixed price job will have a phase, possibly due to a change order, that needs to be billed as Time + Materials or Cost plus. The following procedure will guide you through the process of adding a T+M or Cost plus phase.

  1. On the Site Map screen, click Job Cost > Job > Phases.
  2. Complete the Job, Phase, and Description fields.
  3. Enter the cost type code, or press F4 or double-click on this field to select from a list of available cost type codes.
  4. From the Info Bar, complete the fields in the T+ M Billing Setup link as needed, and then click Save.
  5. On the Info Bar, click the Main link.
  6. In the Price type field, select Time + material or Cost plus. Complete the remaining fields with any other applicable information.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 until all Time + Material and/or Cost plus phases and cost types are entered.
  8. Click OK until you return to the Site Map screen.
  9. On the Site Map screen, click Time + Material > Maintenance > T+M JobBilling.
  10. Enter the job code in the Job field.
    Note: If necessary, make adjustments to the billing and tax information.
  11. Verify the billing levels for equipment, material, and labor.
  12. Add any necessary markups, add-ons, and fees.
  13. Save your entry and return to the Site Map screen.
