Release Highlights

This release includes the following new enhancements. For more details, see the individual release highlights sections that follow.

  • Improved login experience: The Vista Web login screen has a new look! The updated layout of the login and getting started options simplify access to the portal.

Existing users can choose a login method from the options on the left. New users can choose an option from the right.

  • New fillable PDF setting enables personal info fields to prefill in documents: From the Document Dashboard, Admins can now set up fillable PDF forms to prefill personal information fields with an employee's data from Vista. See the HR Management Highlights Document Library section for details.

  • Search and sort the Work Order Dashboard: Users can now search the Work Order Dashboard for a specific Work Order number, address, or customer via a built-in search bar. See the Field Service Highlights Work Order Dashboard section for details.

  • Use the Next Gen Billing Compiler: As of this release, the Classic Billing Compiler has been retired. All users who previously had access to the Classic Billing Compiler will be granted access to the Next Gen Billing Compiler after updating. See the Financial Controls Billing Compiler section for details.

HR Management Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Document Library

    • New fillable PDF setting enables personal info fields to prefill in documents: From the Document Dashboard, Admins can now set up fillable PDF forms to prefill personal information fields with an employee's data from Vista.

When setting up the document, Admins must select the Prefill Fields checkbox in the attachments section to enable the setting. For more details, see Create and Modify a Document for Signature or Acknowledgement.

Note: A similar setting was previously enabled for onboarding documents. This is an expansion of that functionality to the Document Library module.
  • Expenses

    • Improved performance of expense processing: Expense processing now runs as a background job on the Expense Posting Dashboard.

To prevent duplicate posting of expense receipts, only one batch is processed at a time.

For more information, see Post Expenses to a Batch.

    • View attachments without leaving the Expense Posting Dashboard: You can now view receipt attachments from a popup window on the Expense Posting Dashboard instead of having to scroll on the Edit Expense Receipt page. Select the paper clip icon to open the Receipt Attachment window. Attachment files that you cannot preview are available to download from the file dropdown field.

  • Onboarding
    • Fillable PDF form fields auto-populate with employer information: When a new hire opens an onboarding form, their employer information now prefills in the fillable PDF.

This employer data comes from one of the following places:
      • Default company in the onboarding profile (for Onboarding Documents)

Note: If the onboarding profile applies to all companies, the data comes from the company entered in the portal setting Company number for Onboarding and ATS Logo (required).
      • Company of the employee that opened the document (for Library Documents)

Field Management Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Field Management Mobile
    • Share Field Tickets Attachments: Field Management Mobile users can now easily share all attachments within the Field Ticket. From the attachments screen, simply select Share All. Users can also share an individual attachment by selecting the attachment then selecting Share. For more information, see Create and Edit a Field Ticket.

Financial Controls Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Billing Compiler

    • Use the Next Gen Billing Compiler: As of this release, the Classic Billing Compiler has been retired. All users who previously had access to the Classic Billing Compiler will be granted access to the Next Gen Billing Compiler after updating. The Next Gen Billing Compiler offers a vastly expanded feature set, including more ways to compile documents. For more information, see Use the Next Gen Billing Compiler.

Vista Field Service Highlights

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • Work Order Dashboard

    • Search and sort the Work Order Dashboard: Users can now search the Work Order Dashboard for a specific Work Order number, address, or customer via a built-in search bar. Users can also now sort the Work Order Dashboard by several parameters: date, Work Order ID, Work Order description, trip description, and customer.

    • New advanced portal setting: Form Templates with standard task default assignments will generate for each task instance: This new portal setting enhances the current functionality of Field Service forms. Enabling this setting generates one form for each individual task on a Work Order instead of generating a form for each type of task.

Setting location: Admin > Portal Settings > Field Service > General Configuration then select Show Advanced Settings.

Vista Web Office Tools

The following enhancements and customer suggestions were added in this release.

  • New location of Office Tools on the navigation bar: You will now find Office Tools to the right side of other product names in the top navigation bar.

  • Improved form visibility: Text in read-only fields now displays in higher contrast, making it easier to read.

General Changes

General changes affect portal administration or multiple modules in the web portal.

  • Disabled portal setting: Custom JS for log in page (for site seals, SSL badges, etc.): This setting is now disabled and will be removed in our 24.12 release. You can still customize your login page using rich text. For information on how to do this, see Modify Login Page Options.
