Add miscellaneous items to a visual assembly
- Open the visual assembly to which you want to add miscellaneous items.
- Click
to select the Miscellaneous page from the field at the top of the visual assembly window.
- To add an item from the Miscellaneous Lookup, click Lookup, select the item you want to add, then click OK.
If the cost item you want to select does not appear in the Lookup list, you can add it to the Lookup by clicking Modify List. See Managing Cost Items in the Lookup for more information.
- In the Quantity field, enter a quantity for the miscellaneous item. Note: A quantity of 1 refers to 1 of the visual assembly total. For example, if you use SurfaceArea as the Calc parameter where you have a 200 SF slab, a quantity of 1 in the Miscellaneous page would reference a 200 SF slab. A quantity of 0.5 would reference 100 SF and a quantity of 2 would reference 400 SF of slab, and so on.
- Click
to select the appropriate dimension from the Calc field if you want to calculate the total quantity of the miscellaneous item using one of the dimensions of the visual assembly,
For example, you could enter 0.5 in the Quantity field, then select SurfaceArea in the Calc field. This will calculate the total quantity of the miscellaneous cost item to be half of the surface area of the slab.
- Click Quantities to view the calculated quantity of the miscellaneous item.
- Repeat steps 3 - 6 for each cost item you want to add as a miscellaneous item for the visual assembly.
