Set Up Pinpad Time Entry

Follow these steps to configure Traqspera to accept clock-ins from a shared device signed into a single account.

The employee controlling the shared device must be able to access either Traqspera in a web browser or the Traqspera Timesheet app for Android or iOS to use this time entry method.
Note: Generic pinpad users are not recommended for systems that require Trimble ID, as you must create and regularly validate a unique Trimble ID for each generic pinpad user.
Important: It is your responsibility to test and maintain your own hardware. No hardware is guaranteed to work with future updates of Traqspera.

  1. Set the start page for the pindpad role to Pin Pad Clocking.
  2. Configure these permissions for the pinpad user's role.
    • Enable Settings & Permissions > Permissions > Timesheet > Can Use Employee Timesheets
    • Enable Settings & Permissions > Permissions > Timesheet > Can Change Default Job On Clocking
    • Enable Settings & Permissions > Permissions > Timesheet > Can Clock In/Out
    • Enable Settings & Permissions > Permissions > Timesheet > Can Use PIN Pad Clocking
  3. Configure your company's PIN pad settings to your preferences.

Each employee can sign in using the default PIN code assigned upon account creation.
