Federate Models

You can federate more than one model from your BIM homepage to combine the visual information so you can view them both at once in the IFC Viewer.

In order to federate models, they must be attached to the same static virtual container within your BIM container.

In the navigation tree, select the project's BIM container to display the BIM homepage.
Expand the static virtual container containing the models you want to federate.
Select the check boxes for the models you want to federate and click Federate Selected.
The IFC Viewer opens, and the federation begins.

When the federation is complete, view the federated models as you would any model in the IFC Viewer.

Restriction: You cannot save a model federation. You must recreate the federation every time you want to view the models together.
