Process a Subcontract Payroll

Using this feature, you can processes subcontract transactions which are not processed by the payroll processing program.

It produces a similar report. It includes an option to delete transactions for subcontracts prior to a selected date so that they can be deleted from the payroll transactions file.

To generate the report:
  1. Expand the Payroll menu in the left pane of the Jobpac Connect home screen.
  2. Expand the Payroll Processing sub-menu.
  3. Select Subcontracts Processing to display the Payroll Preprocessing for Contractors screen.
  4. Enter the payroll run date in the Run Date field.
  5. Select the search icon in the following fields and select the required employee:
    • Start Employee
    • Finish Employee
  6. Select the search icon in the following fields and select the required code:
    • Start Department
    • Finish Department
    • Start Division
    • Finish Division
    • Start Location
    • Finish Location
  7. Select the required option in the Control break a , Do you require and Report Type fields.
  8. Enter the required dates in the Include transactions from and Delete Transactions prior to fields.
  9. Select View the report and select OK at the top of the screen.

Fields in the Payroll Preprocessing for Contractors Screen

This table provides the description for the fields in the Payroll Preprocessing for Contractors screen.

Field Name Description

Run Date

Select the calendar icon in this field and select the required payroll run date.

Start Employee

Select the search icon in this field and select the starting range of employees.

Finish Employee

Select the search icon in this field and select the ending range of employees.

This is a Termination Run

Select this checkbox if you would like to include the employees marked for termination in the report.

Generate Automatic Transactions

Select this checkbox if you would like to include automatic transactions in the report.

Note: Automatic transactions encompass allowances and deductions that are marked as "Automatic" in the employee's allowances and deduction table, as well as ERC transactions like Employer Superannuation contributions.

Start Department

Enter the starting range of the department in this field.

Finish Department

Enter the ending range of the department in this field.

Start Division

Enter the starting range of the division in this field.

Finish Division

Enter the ending range of the division in this field.

Start Location

Enter the starting range of the location in this field.

Finish Location

Enter the ending range of the location in this field.

Control Break at

Department: Select this checkbox to insert page breaks at the department level.

Division: Select this checkbox to insert page breaks at the division level.

Location: Select this checkbox to insert page breaks at the location level.

Do you require

Weekly Pays: Select this checkbox if you would like to include employees who are paid weekly.

Fortnightly Pays: Select this checkbox if you would like to include employees who are paid every two weeks.

Monthly Pays: Select this checkbox if you would like to include employees who are paid monthly.

Pay By Cash: Select this checkbox if you would like to include employees who are paid by cash.

Pay By Cheque: Select this checkbox if you would like to include employees who are paid through cheque.

Pay By Bank Deposit: Select this checkbox if you would like to include employees who are paid through bank deposit.

Bonafide Subcontractors

Select this checkbox to include the subcontractors in the payroll who are flagged as "C" on the employee master file.

Non Bonafide Subcontractors

Select this checkbox to include the subcontractors in the payroll who are flagged as "N" on the employee master file.

Report Type

Detail: Select the radio button to download a detailed report.

Summary: Select the radio button to download a summary report.

Include transactions

From: Select the calendar icon in this field and select the required date from when you would like to include the transaction in the report.

To: Select the calendar icon in this field and select the required date till when you would like to include the transaction in the report.

Delete Transactions prior to

Select the calendar icon in this field and select the required date to delete transactions prior to it.

Report Option

PDF: Select the radio button to download the report as a PDF.

Excel: Select the radio button to download the report as an excel sheet.

View the Report

Select this checkbox to preview the report.
