Welcome to the Field View R8 release! Soon you’ll be able to resolve duplication in a form when different devices answer the same question with the web application. This functionality already exists in the mobile app. We are making updates to the BIM setup, allowing you to effortlessly replace generated drawings with drawings from your drawing library and see the old and new drawings side by side for placing anchor points. We will move enterprise organisation management into the web application for added efficiency with the plan to remove it from Classic Field View in the future.
Field View R7 2025 brings a host of improvements and updates, enhancing both functionality and security. Notably, the iOS and Android versions underwent significant upgrades, providing users with improved performance, stability, and security.
With the June release of Field View, we added features to empower field workers by providing them with immediate visual context, helping to reduce misinterpretations and rework as they access IFC models on Field View web and mobile devices, both offline and online. We also added the ability to manage 3D models to ensure project data remains current and accessible with update tools in a central repository. You can enhance documentation accuracy by placing pins for tasks and forms directly on the 3D model, creating a single source of truth across project views as tasks and forms automatically reflect on linked 2D plans.
The Plan View in the web application displays the project plans, including any calibrated locations, 360 photos, tasks, and forms.
The Drawings Library holds uploaded project drawings for you to assign and use across multiple locations. These drawings can be uploaded from Trimble Connect, VFP, or from your computer.
From your mobile device, you can create a copy of an existing form instance rather than completing a form from scratch, or move a form from its existing location to another.
