Important Notices & Project Updates
Looking ahead, please note the following important notices and updates regarding ongoing projects.
- Action Required: SSID Registration: To ensure a seamless transition for FY27, all customers must register their SSID with the ATO before their first STP submission in the new financial year. We recently sent an EDM with instructions to all customers regarding this ATO requirement for Employers, and we will update our in-product message with more information shortly.
- PTRS & PTA Progress: We are currently in the QA phase for PTRS enhancements regarding consolidation & RCTI dates, as well as our final PTA enhancements required for QBCC certification.
- Phased Release Technology: We have commenced testing for a new deployment model. This will soon allow you to choose between Phase 1 or Phase 2 of a release rollout—or utilise both if you maintain a dedicated testing environment.
- TID Rollout reaches 90% complete: 90% of our customers have now successfully transitioned to Trimble ID, the next-generation authentication for all Trimble software solutions. One identity for all Trimble products.
The Road Ahead
Looking forward, our 2026.3.0 (R3) release will primarily focus on a significant infrastructure upgrade to ensure our platform remains performant and secure.
Our commitment to you remains balanced across the pillars of Connected Construction, Stability & Security, Legislative Compliance, and the continuous refinement of our Core Modules. Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping us shape the future of Jobpac Connect.
Kind Regards,

Roadmap
Review the roadmap items from the 2026 R2 Jobpac release.
Payday Super - STP Qualified Earnings (QE)
The Australian payroll landscape is shifting. As you will be aware, the Australian Government is introducing Payday Super legislation. Starting 1 July 2026, employers will be required to pay Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions on the same day they pay salary and wages. For payroll professionals, this is a reform that moves us away from the traditional quarterly cycle to a real-time environment. As part of this reform, payroll software must be capable of capturing and reporting QE (Qualifying Earnings) in every Single Touch Payroll (STP) submission from July 1st 2026.
The STP reporting changes required to capture QE will be deployed with Jobpac Release R2026.2.0. Jobpac’s STP changes in this release have passed the ATO’s rigorous test scenarios and achieved fully audited certification from the ATO.
When you are ready to commence reporting QE in FY27, based on the guidance in the important note above. The System Parameter OZEDI Filed# 5, Starting Position 12 should be set equal to ‘Y’ as shown below. Set your calendar reminder now!
Regarding the Calculation of STP Qualifying Earnings (QE)
In the lead-up to the activation of QE Reporting in FY27, you will want to configure your Payroll to ensure QE reports accurately when the time comes. Note that the ATO is allowing some leeway for Employers to get QE reporting right throughout FY27. You can read more about this on their “Payday super: How to manage super during the changeover” webpages at this link. https://www.ato.gov.au/businesses-and-organisations/super-for-employers/payday-super/payday-super-how-to-manage-super-during-the-changeover
The ATO website linked above also provides important information on calculating QE, including which Payroll Transaction Codes should be included in Qualifying Earnings.
How to configure a Payroll Transaction Code to be included in Qualifying Earnings (QE)
You will notice a new setting in Payroll Transaction Definitions, when maintaining any Transaction Code, called Include in Qualifying Earnings, as shown below. This setting must be checked for the Transaction code to be included in STP QE Reporting. To get you started, this flag will be set initially to match the existing setting for Include Super Calculation. It is important to note that there may be differences between what you, as an employer, include in your Super Calculations and what is required to be reported as Qualifying Earnings under the new legislation. That is, you may be including more Transaction codes in your Super Calculations than are required to be reported as Qualifying Earnings. More details on calculating QE can be found on the ATO website.
Checking the Transaction Code “Include in Qualifying Earnings” settings
Payday Super - QE Reporting - STP Employee Gross Maintenance
STP Employee Gross Maintenance has been updated to include the new Qualifying Earnings value against each employee. The QE value will only be visible AFTER QE reporting is activated in FY27. You will be able to see the QE value, after activation, on the enquiry view by navigating to the Superannuations Tab and using the Action option to Show Qualifying Earnings. Taking this option will toggle the Super Guarantee Contribution column to show QE as shown below.
The Excel Download from this screen has also been updated to include the new QE value in column AO as shown below. Note that in the Excel report, the column is shared with the YTD OTE (Ordinary Time Earnings) column, as OTE will be replaced with QE as it phases in during FY27.
Lastly, you can use this same program to adjust YTD QE values for an Employee should you need to make corrections to the reported YTD QE value during the year. You can do this in the same way as you would adjust any other reported YTD STP values. Simply double-click on an employee (or right-click Select) to take you to the Employee YTD STP Values screen, and add your Adjustment value as shown below. The Adjustment you enter will add to the This Year Value and be reflected in the Total value for STP Reporting.
Payday Super - QE Reporting - STP Submissions
Single Touch Payroll Submissions has been updated to include the new Qualifying Earnings value against each employee for each submitted Payrun. The QE value will only be visible AFTER QE reporting is activated in FY27. You will be able to see the QE value, after activation, on the enquiry view by using right-click on any Payrun and selecting details, then navigating to the Superannuations Tab and using the Action option to Show Qualifying Earnings. Taking this option will toggle the Super Guarantee Contribution column to show QE as shown below.
Payday Super - QE Reporting - Roadmap Items coming your way!
Single Touch Payroll Submissions Print
The right-click Print option from the Single Touch Payroll Submissions Payrun List screen will be updated to include Qualifying Earnings in a patch to follow R2026.2.0
Accumulated Pay Details Report
The Accumulated Pay Details Report will be updated to include Qualifying Earnings in a patch to follow R2026.2.0. We will get this update to you as soon as we can, as it will help with the review of the Qualifying Earnings Values prior to QE Reporting Activation, allowing you to verify the setup.
Trimble ID & ODBC - Allow Passwords to be Changed for ODBC Users
For Trimble ID (TID) users who also use ODBC to access the database, you can now reset your ODBC-specific password using the link under the User name in the top right of your Jobpac landing page, as shown below.
3rd Party Subcontract Claim Portal Activation/De-Activation Security & Audit
We have added additional security around the activation and changes to 3rd Party Subcontract Portal settings in Job setup and Subcontract Maintenance. i.e., the linking and delinking to 3rd-Party SC Portals are now controlled and audited. Unauthorised changes to this setting can create data mismatches between 3rd Party SC Claim Portals and Jobpac Claim values. This can lead to support issues and unauthorised changes to payments. Details of the new operation are outlined below.
Changes include ….
- The addition of user-based security to allow or prevent 3rd-party portal setting changes.
- An audit of any changes that captures the User, Timestamp
and a Mandatory Reason for change.Note: Visibility into the Audit History will initially be available only via our support team, but will be available to you in an easy-to-review window as a follow-up feature in a subsequent release.
- Edit control based on the new security settings in the Job Maintenance Program.
- Edit control based on the new security settings in the Subcontract Maintenance Program.
-
Note: This new feature is automatically active, and the default setting for all users initially will be to NOT allow changes to the setting. You will need to grant access to users who need it as per the instructions below.
Security Setup
Authorised Users within your organisation can be set up to have access to the SC 3rd Party Portal settings at the WorkID level, or globally across all WorkIDs, via the Job Maintenance Access program. If you would like to grant a user access to the setting, follow these steps.
- First, navigate to Job Maintenance Access.
- Find the User ID for whom you would like to grant access and update the “3 Pty SC” column with a “Y” to grant access against the appropriate WorkIDs.
- If you can’t find the User ID you are looking for, you may need to add it using the blue plus Icon at the top right of the grid, as shown below.
- If adding a new User ID, note that the WorkID can be left blank to specify a Global setting, or you can populate the WorkID field to add a specific setting for a particular WorkID.
- The default setting for the “3 Pty SC” column will be ‘N’ for NO access.
- If adding a new User ID, take care to set the appropriate
values for all the other columns in this screen that relate to update access on
the various tabs in Job Maintenance.
Job Maintenance Changes
Subcontract Maintenance Changes
In Subcontract Maintenance, the new pop-up includes an additional Warning message that highlights the risks of changing the setting after claims have already been made. For example, deactivating an agreement that has had any claims processed from a 3rd Party Portal could lead to a corrupted integration with the 3rd Party. Should any data corruption result from deactivating/activating mid-contract, the correction of the data may be a billable exercise.
Prepare Invoices for Approval - Additional Related Content for PO and Delivery Docket
In the eInvoicing module, when Preparing Invoices for Approval, we have added some additional Related content for users preparing Invoices.
Single-clicking any line on the Prepare Invoices forApproval - New Batch screen displays not only the contextually linked Related Content for the attached Invoice, but also any PO-Related Content and any Related Delivery Dockets.
The Prepare Invoices for Approval - Dissections screen will also display the additional PO and Delivery Docket Content as shown below.
What’s New to Show New Message Tag
You may notice a small change to our In-Product message in the top right of your Jobpac Landing page. The In-Product message was updated 17 times in the last 12 months, with a variety of updates from Release Cadence messages to important Legislative updates, and new messages can easily be missed. With this in mind, we have added a NEW alert tag, as shown in the screenshot below. The NEW tag will remain visible for each user for a number of days after that user signs on to see the message for the first time after it is published. When the message is no longer new to the individual user, the NEW tag will automatically disappear.
WorkID Copy/Delete system Administration function - New Warning Message
For customers using the WorkID Copy feature, we have added a cautionary message before submitting any copy Jobs for your protection. Warnings include the following…
- Only use the Copy/Delete function if you understand how it works and seek guidance from support if required. You can irreparably damage your data if you make a mistake.
- The WorkID copy/Delete function pauses some of your subsystems while in progress and resumes them upon completion, which can impact your day-to-day Jobpac operations if run during business hours. It can slow down your users, delay updates, and prevent other jobs from running immediately. Therefore, we advise against running these jobs during business hours or during busy times that may clash with rollovers, STP submissions or BFM Contract Review periods.
Suggestion Box & Other Enhancements
Review the suggestion box items and other enhancements implemented in the 2026 R2 Jobpac release.
Invoice Approvals - Show Matched Dockets
In this enhancement to our Invoice Approvals module, we have improved visibility into the 3-way match between AP Invoice, the Purchase Order and matched Deliveries. Invoice Approvals - Additional PO and Matched Docket Information
Users will notice two additional tabs in the Invoice Detail View of the Invoice approval process, as shown below. When used in conjunction with the latest Individual Invoice Approvals features that allow Approval/Rejection right on the Invoice Detail screen, confidence and efficiency are greatly enhanced.
The new Quantities / Values Tab shows the following information to assist you in understanding the 3-way match
- Invoice Line and PO Item
- PO Item Quantity and PO Item Value
- Item Docket Quantity to date, Uninvoiced Docket Quantity,
- Docket Quantity this Invoice and Docket Value this Invoice
- This Invoice Qty and This Invoice Value (nett)
The new Dockets Tab shows the following information to assist you in understanding the 3-way match

BFM Contract Valuation Excel - Additional Project Staff Contacts & Improved Download Speed
We have added more Project Staff Contacts to the Contract Valuation Excel download. In addition, the BFM Contract Valuation download has now been converted to a much faster backend download. You should see significant improvements in the speed of the CV downloads.
The Design Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, Estimator, Accounts Contact and Defects Manager are now shown in columns CS to CY on the CV Download, as shown below.
AP Payment Selections - Allow Multiple AP Invoice Selections for Prompt Payment Batches
This is a significant improvement to the Payment Selections program that will streamline the creation of Prompt Payment batches, particularly if you use the popular Multiple Prompt Payment Batches feature, which allows you to prepare multiple payment batches to be paid simultaneously from different cash accounts. This new feature lets you quickly select multiple Invoices for payment in various ways and then apply actions to the selected Invoices in bulk. Streamlining is facilitated by the new Action Options and Right Click Options, as explained below.
The New Action Options
- Select All Filtered - This option lets you apply filters across all tabs to narrow down your selected Invoices and mark them all as Selected. Selected Invoices will be highlighted in Blue. You could use the Right-click options to Select/Deselect to fine-tune your selections.
- Deselect All Filtered - This option allows you to quickly deselect Invoices in bulk. For example, you could Clear Filters, and then Deselect All or you could apply additional filters to Deselect a range of invoices in your current selections.
- Hold All Selected - Once you have made your selections, hold them all at once with this option.
- Release All Selected - Once you have made your selections, flag them all as Released.
- Prompt Pay - Include All Selected - This option will mark all ‘Selected’ invoices for Prompt Payment. If you are using the Multiple Prompt Payment Batches feature, you will be prompted to add to an existing Prompt Payment Batch or to add a new Prompt Payment Batch.
- Prompt Pay - Remove All Selected - This option removes any selected invoices from Prompt Payment status and, if you are using the Multiple Prompt Payment Batches feature, removes them from the batches they are allocated to.
- Collate all Selected - The collation option will now collate only the scanned invoices you have selected. Apply filters, mark as selected, then Collate all Selected.
The New Right-Click Options
- Select / Deselect - Use this new option to Select or Deselect individual Invoices. Selected Invoices will be highlighted in Blue. Double-click can be used instead of this right-click option for efficiency.
- Invoice Details - Payment Adjustments - This right-click option has had its description updated to better reflect the action.
- Prompt Pay - Include - Description change only. Includes individual Invoices for Prompt Pay status.
- Prompt Pay - Remove - Description change only. Removes individual Invoices from Prompt Pay status
HC Progress Claim Report converted to stay on the bounding screen after report print
In response to a common suggestion, we are continuing to convert Jobpac Reports to remain on the bounding screen, with previous report options remaining selected, after the report is run. This allows easy adjustment of bounds and reruns without having to click multiple times to return to the report.
With this release, the HC Progress Claim Report has been converted to operate in this way ().
Retention Comments for Calculated Retention Adjustments
R2026.2.0 Includes an enhancement to the Subcontract Claiming process by adding the ability to add Retention Comments for adjustments made to the calculated Retention. Retention Comments can be added on the . Standard Text can also be configured and copied into the Retention Comments for efficiency. Configuration options exist to either…
- Mandate a Retention Comment for any increase or decrease in the calculated retention value.
- Or, to allow a Retention Comment, with only a Warning if the calculated retention has been adjusted
- Or, the feature can be left deactivated
Retention Comments, if entered, will print on the standard FORMSP005 Schedule of Payments Form (noting that you need to request the new from from support if you wish to use it), with additional printing configuration options to…
- Print Retention Calculation Method, and to
- Print Max Retention
Setup
To configure the new Retention Comments options, set the following System Parameters
System Parameter Code = SCRTDS
- Position 1: Enable Comments for SC Retentions, set to…
- M = For Mandatory entry of Retention Comment if Calculated Retention is adjusted
- W = For Warning only, and allow entry of Retention Comment
- N or blank = functionality not turned on.
- Position 2: Display Retention Calculation Method on FORMSP005
- Y = Retention Calculation Method Description will print
- N or blank = Do not display
- Position 3: Display Max Retention on FORMSP005
- Y = Max Retention will print
- N or blank = Do not display
Regarding the new Schedule of Payment from distribution, if you wish to print Retention comments on your SOP, as described above, please request this with our support team so the new form can be distributed to you. Our team needs to check whether you are using the standard form or a customised form, then apply the new fields to it.
Operation with Mandatory entry of Retention Comments configured
If you have configured your system to ‘mandate’ a Retention Comment for any increase or decrease in the calculated retention value on an SC Claim Authorisation, then the user will be blocked from finalising their claim until they have entered a reason for the difference.
- In the example below, you can see that the Calculated Retention has been adjusted down, and a Retention Comment has not been added. When the user attempts to ‘Finish’ the claim, a message will block the user and give them an opportunity to enter a Retention comment as the next step.
- If the user clicks Yes on this pop-up, they will be taken to the Retention Comment Maintenance screen as the next step. Clicking No will return them to the Retention screen to adjust as required. On the Retention Comment Maintenance screen, the user can manually enter Retention Comments or choose to copy from Standard Text if you have configured any standard comments.
- Note on the Retention tab, the user can also access and update Retention Comments using the pop-out icon next to the Retention Total Field as shown below. If Retention Comments exist, this will be indicated in blue text.
Operation with a Warning for Entry of Retention Comments
If you have configured your system to prompt the user with a Warning to enter Retention Comments for any increase or decrease in the calculated retention value on an SC Claim Authorisation, then the user will receive a helpful warning message if attempting to finalise their claim without entering a reason for the difference. But they will not be blocked from Finalisation.
- In the example below, you can see that the Calculated Retention has been adjusted down, and a Retention Comment has not been added. When the user attempts to ‘Finish’ the claim, a helpful warning message is displayed, and the user can elect to continue or go back and enter some Retention Comments.
Removal of Seconds from the Scheduled End-of-Month Screen
Lastly, by customer request, to simplify the entry of time when submitting EOM rolls, the Time field no longer includes seconds. Now only the hours and minutes need to be entered in 24-hour time (HH: MM)
