What's New in ProContractor 4.4.3
ProContractor 4.4.3 brings cloud-hosted organizations' requirement to set up and use Trimble ID to sign in to the application. It also provides regulatory updates and mobile enhancements, as well as bug fixes.
Trimble ID for Cloud Users Now Required
In this release, if your application is hosted in the cloud, signing in using Trimble ID is now mandatory once we switch your organization to use it. At that point, Trimble ID will be the only way to sign in to your application.
If you want, you can set up and start signing in with your Trimble ID today. To get started, see Upgrade your legacy ProContractor sign-in to Trimble ID.
Your Trimble ID is your set of single sign-on credentials which you can also use to log in to any other Trimble product.
For more information, see Legacy login to Trimble ID FAQ.
Updated Certified Payroll Report Format
The U.S. Federal Government released a new Certified Payroll Report format effective January 1, 2025. Your Certified Payroll report format is updated to meet these new federal standards.
If you are currently using a modified or custom Certified Payroll Report, it will not render correctly with the new format (usually giving an error about a subreport not being found). Please review and update your reports to align with the new federal requirements by reviewing Knowledge Base article 000144272.

PC Mobile Device Support: OS Requirements
Due to recent changes with security requirements from the respective platforms which no longer support outdated OS versions, PC Mobile users will need to be on one of the supported OS versions:
- Android: OS version 14 or higher
- iPhone / iPad: iOS version 17 or higher
Devices running older operating systems will not be supported after October 2025. If your current device cannot be upgraded to a supported OS version, you will need to move to a supported device by the deadline.
Updated T5018 Format
The CRA changed the efiling format. We adhere to the new format so that the file that the application generates will be accepted.
Improved Authentication for Organizational Emails
Microsoft has announced that Outlook 365 will no longer support basic authentication for security starting in 2026. To prepare for this change and to improve security, this version introduces new configuration options to ensure continued email functionality. If your company uses Office 365 to send your organization's emails, you will need to update the email settings in the Accounting Companies screen to use OAuth.
To do this, you will need to locate and copy the Tenant Id from your Office 365 account and enter it in the new Tenant Id field. We recommend updating your email configuration in advance by working with your IT staff to avoid disrupting workflows.
For additional guidance and setup details, see Knowledge Base article 181112135535935. As an additional resource, see Microsoft's article Authenticate an IMAP, POP or SMTP connection using OAuth.
Timecard Import Template: New Excel Template
The Timecard Import now supports equipment usage timecards. As part of this enhancement, the Excel import template has changed. Going forward, only the new template will be compatible with importing timecards.
Please begin using the new template, located here: Program Files (x86)\Maxwell Systems\ProContractorMX\Import Templates. If on the cloud, the template should be on the H drive.
