Materials Stored Retainage
This window displays when you attempt to change the materials stored retention percent or amount in the Retainage section of the Summary Billing Entry screen and the Retention % override checkbox in the Unit Price Contract Detail or Fixed Price Contract Detail windows.
Use this window to adjust and view the retention and override percentages and amounts.

| Summary retention |
Enter either the retention percent or the retention amount for the complete-to-date amount. Record the retention amount on a job-to-date basis. This is the retention percent/amount used for items where the Retention % override checkbox is not selected in the Fixed Price Contract Detail or Unit Price Contract Detail windows. |
| Detail override |
This is the sum of the detail override amounts for items with the Retention % Override checkbox selected in the Fixed Price Contract Detail or Unit Price Contract Detail windows. |
| Total retention |
The sum of the work completed retention for items that have retention override and the work completed retention for the other items based on the summary retention amount entered above displays. |
