The Copy Chart of Accounts screen is used to copy the Chart of Accounts from one company into a new company. This selection may be useful when an additional company is being installed and its Chart of Accounts will be the same as the current company. If you have cost centers enabled in the current company, then Spectrum will add selected accounts to the new company only if you have permission to access the account in the current company.

Before this selection will function successfully, the department codes must be added to the new company using Department File Maintenance and the operator must have security access to General Ledger in both the present company and the new company. This selection must be executed from the source company.
