Changing the Certified Report Week Number

The software looks to find the first date that payroll was charged to the job.

Follow the steps below to change the Payroll No. on the Certified Payroll Report if it currently displays the wrong week number.
Important: You will need to have posted at least one time card to the certified job to perform this procedure!

To change the initial date in the software:

  1. Go to Payroll > Period End > Employee Certified History.
  2. Call up all employees with time cards prior to the certified date. If only one employee is selected and if the employee is not the oldest time card on the job, no change will occur!
  3. Highlight the appropriate check and click the Time Card button. Clearing the Certified checkbox on the time card allows the Certified Payroll Report to use a later time card date for the report number.
  4. Change the Work date to the first day the job was certified.
    Note: These steps only have to be performed on one time card line. It is not necessary to perform these steps on multiple time card lines as the SQL view looks to find the first date payroll was charged to the job.
  5. Rerun the Certified Payroll Report. Notice that the week number has changed accordingly.
