The Equipment Utilization Report screen is used to obtain a report of equipment utilization, and the report will include any equipment code with a meter setting that matches the meter type(s) selected on the starting screen (regardless of whether that meter type is the primary or an alternate meter).

The utilization percentage is calculated to show management the percentage of hours for equipment usage versus the total hours that have been reported. If this percentage is low, this indicates that the equipment is not being used efficiently on the job. Based on this information, management can move the equipment to another job or rearrange the work schedule to better utilize the equipment.

This percentage only takes into account the total hours reported for the equipment; it doesn't report those hours not reported (these appear on the Equipment Chargeable Report).
