Employee Kiosk Installation
This screen allows the Administrator to manage control settings related to year end processing and timekeeping.
The Administrator must specify a 'Payroll tax year' (the year that will print on the form) and then select (or leave clear) the option to 'Allow employees to print year end tax statements?' This option allows the Administrator to prevent employees from prematurely downloading their W-2 Form or T4 Slip, before proper review by Payroll personnel.
In the 'Optional pay types in My Time Entry' section, Administrators can select the authorized pay types (other than Regular pay) to be offered in the My Time Entry app. The 'Job-only adjustment?' checkbox allows Administrators to permit employees to enter JX pay type transactions. These non-pay entries will only be allowed when a 'direct job cost' Payroll Department is specified. The employee will be prompted to record the Hours, Job and Phase, resulting in the job-only adjustment for the designated job.
The 'Notice to employee' section allows you to add a 400-character legal notice to employees that will appear on timecards.
The 'Track daily working hours' section is intended for states that have strict timekeeping reporting requirements. When this checkbox is selected, employees will be required to enter start time, lunch out, lunch in, and stop time on the Employee Time Entry screen. This will also add a 400-character 'Instructions to employee' notice on this screen, similar to the 'Notice to employee' above.
Note: While apps do not count against the Spectrum license seat count, this installation screen does require a license seat.
