Open Commitments window
The Open Commitments window displays detailed information for any open commitments related to the selected cost type.
These are costs that have been committed to, but not yet incurred. Examples include purchase orders that have been placed but not yet received, subcontracts that have been signed but not yet completely invoiced, or inventory job requisitions that have been entered but not updated.
The purpose of committed costs is to let the project manager know as early in the project as possible what costs are fixed (for example, what money has already been spent even though the invoices have not yet been received). If the selected job is a Master job, master and sub-job totals are included in commitment totals.
