Create Service Contracts
Create service contracts to manage and control contract revenues and costs. After you set up Service Contract Properties, use the Info Bar links to proceed through contract setup.

Select Service Contracts > Maintenance > Service Contracts.
Note: For field descriptions, see Service Contracts.
- Click New.
- Select a Site.
- Enter a Contract #, or leave this field blank if you want to system to assign the next available contract number.
- Select a Contract Description, for example, Maintenance Contract.
- Choose a Contract Type, for example, Full Maintenance.
- Select a Work Order Type, for example, Maintenance Contracts.
- Accept the default Customer, or enter a different customer.
- Click OK.

On the Service Contract Main Properties tab, enter information regarding the
service contract salesperson, start and end date for the contract, and labor and
material levels. If this is a proposal, mark the Proposed Service Contract
checkbox.

Note the information shown in the Profit summary section, and click the available links for more details:
- Earned Revenue Processing: View a list of all earned revenue for the selected period. Earned revenue is the portion of the total contract amount that has been booked as revenue in the General Ledger.
- Service Contract Work Order Revenue: View a breakdown of posted revenue for work orders that reference the selected contract.
- Total revenue: Shows the total of all earned and work order revenue.
- Total Cost: View past cost information for work orders.
- Gross profit: Shows the difference between total revenue and total cost.

Continue through the Info Bar links to set up the
following service contract options:

Select Covered Equipment to select site equipment that this service contract covers.

Select Labor Billing Rates to set up contract-specific rates .

- Select Visits on the Info Bar to schedule Service Contract Visits.
