Priority Maintenance

Use the Priority Maintenance screen to establish user-defined priority codes, which can be applied to work orders.

There are sixteen colors to choose from when setting up priority codes. The description and color code you choose will appear on the Dispatch Board, Advanced Dispatch Schedule, and Work Order Entry.

Note: When Priority is selected as a sorting preference on the Work Order Installation - Dispatch tab, then Spectrum will sort work orders based on the codes set up on this screen. It is recommended that careful consideration be given to defining each code so that the presentation will flow from high to low of 01 to 99 (numerals are sorted before alphabetic characters).

Description

Priority code

Enter the priority code, or window to search the software for available priority codes.

Description

Enter a description of the priority code selected in the Priority code field above.

Flag color

Select a flag color to use for the priority code selected. If you do not want to add a flag, select <blank> from the drop-down menu.

Use custom icon in place of standard icon and color?

Select this checkbox if a custom icon should be used in place of a standard icon and color for the selected priority code.

If the Use the custom icon in place of standard icon and color checkbox is selected, this field displays. Click the Select Icon button to select a custom icon to associate with the priority code.
