Filter Union Codes and Wage Codes by Job

If you are using union codes and wage codes on jobs in Spectrum, you can configure Traqspera timesheets to filter union codes and wage codes based on the job selected during time entry.

You must complete the following setup in Spectrum before continuing with the Traqspera configuration.

  • Set up union codes and wage codes in Spectrum. See Unions & Wage Code Procedures in Spectrum Help for details.

  • Add the applicable union codes and wage codes to the relevant jobs on the Job Payroll Setup screen in Spectrum (in Job Cost > Maintenance > Jobs, select Payroll Setup from the Info Bar).

  • Add wage code overrides to the relevant phases using the Wage Code Phase Overrides window in Spectrum (in Job Cost > Maintenance > Phases, select a phase to edit. In the Edit Phase window, select Wage Codes).

After you have set up Spectrum as required, you can complete the following steps in Traqspera.
  1. Select Settings > Application Settings > Timesheet.
  2. Select the Timesheet Fields section.
  3. Enable each of the following settings:

    • Allow Union Code Override in Timesheets

    • Allow Wage Code Override in Timesheets

    • Use Job and Sub Job to Filter Union and Wage Code Options on Timesheets

      When this setting is enabled, the job sync in Traqspera pulls in the wage and union codes for a job as configured on the Job Payroll Setup screen in Spectrum.

  4. Select Settings > System Permissions > Timesheet.
  5. Scroll to the Timesheet Fields section.
  6. Select both the View and Edit options for each of the following permissions:

    • Union Code on Timesheets

    • Wage Code on Timesheets

  7. Select Settings > Application Settings > Spectrum Configuration.

    The Spectrum Configuration Settings page opens.

  8. Select at the top of the page to sync the latest job information from Spectrum.
  9. To verify that your configuration is working as expected, open a test timesheet:

    • You should see both the Union Code and Wage Code fields showing on the time entry line.

    • Select a job and phase code that were configured with union and wage codes in Spectrum. You should see options display from the dropdowns for both the Union Code and Wage Code fields.

    • Select a job and phase code that were not configured with union codes and wage codes in Spectrum. You should see no options display from the dropdowns for either the Union Code or Wage Code fields.
