Two-step Verification FAQs
What should I expect to see if I log into an OTP-enabled product versus a non-OTP enabled product?
If you are already logged into a product that doesn't require an OTP and then access a new product within the same browser session that does require an OTP, you will not be prompted to reauthenticate.
How does the enforcement of 2-step verification (2SV) impact single sign-on (SSO) users?
This new enforcement does not apply to SSO users, as your organization owns and manages its own identity security settings.
How many tries do I have to enter my verification code before I’m locked out of my account?
You have five (5) attempts to enter the verification code sent to your primary email address before you must ‘Try again later’. This cool-down period lasts for 15 minutes before you can try again.
What do I do if I can't find my verification code in my email?
You should first check your spam folder for Trimble's email containing the verification code. If you cannot access or find the email, you must contact Trimble support.
How long do OTP verification codes last before they expire?
Ten (10) minutes. After that, you'll need to attempt to sign in again to prompt a new one.
What do I do if I can't access my email, MFA method, or passkey?
If you are locked out of your account due to disrupted access to additional MFA methods, you must contact Trimble support so they can help you regain access.
