Set rounding on a bid day instance

  1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
  2. Open the Estimate tab.
  3. Click Bid Day on the speedbar and select the bid day instance you want to work with from the list.
  4. Open the Summary tab.
  5. If you haven't set the levels to summarize, click Levels on the speedbar. If you have set the levels to summarize, go to step 8.
  6. In the Level 1 field in the Summary Criteria window, click to select the WBS code by which you want to summarize. Repeat for each level you want to summarize.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Select the Show estimate checkbox to see the summary for the estimate.
  9. Select the Show acceptable alternates checkbox to display alternates with a status of Acceptable on the Summary tab.
  10. Select the Show change orders checkbox to display change orders on the Summary tab.
  11. Click Columns on the speedbar to display the Columns toolbar under the speedbar.
  12. Click Show on the Columns toolbar.
  13. Select one or more of the following columns, that contains values you want to round, to include in the display:
    • Unit Price
    • Estimate
    • Alternate Unit Price
    • Alternate Estimate
    • Change Order Unit Price
    • Change Order Estimate
  14. Select one or more of the following columns to round all values in the column, or hold Ctrl and select the individual cells to round in the following columns:
    • Unit Price
    • Estimate
    • Alternate Unit Price
    • Alternate Estimate
    • Change Order Unit Price
    • Change Order Estimate
  15. In the Round To field on the speedbar, click to select the number of places to round to.
  16. To round the selected cells, do one of the following:
    • Click RoundUp on the speedbar to round all of the selected columns and/or cells up to the number of places specified earlier.
    • Click Round on the speedbar to round all of the selected columns and/or cells to the number of places specified earlier using standard rounding.
  17. Click Apply on the speedbar to update the financial cost items based on the rounding specified. The modified fields are highlighted in peach in the Summary tab and in the Estimate tab.
