Configure a Wacom touch screen to zoom using the touch strips

Configure the Wacom touch screen monitor to allow you to quickly zoom in the Estimating and Earthwork jobs.

  1. Using the computer where you set up the touch screen monitor, log in to the application.
  2. Click the Windows Start menu, then select Programs > Wacom Tablet > Wacom Tablet Properties.
  3. Click to the right of the Application row.
  4. Select the application, Maxwell.stp.infrastructure.shell.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click in the Applications row.
    Note: At this point any custom settings you make for the pen or display controls apply only to Viewpoint Estimating and will be used whenever you launch the application.
  7. In the Tools row, click Functions to customize the express buttons and touch strips.
  8. Select the Touch Strip tab.
  9. In the Function field for the left touch strip, click and select Zoom.
  10. In the Function field for the right touch strip, click and select Zoom.
  11. Click in the upper right corner to close the window.
You are ready to use your touch screen monitor with your application. Place the cursor where you want to zoom, including grids such as the NotePad tab, and touch the touch strip. Moving your finger up the touch strip will zoom in; moving your finger down the touch strip to zoom out.
