| Auto Assign Settings | |
| Allow Auto Assign Option for Vendor | Indicate whether you can choose to have the application assign a code when you add a vendor. |
| Allow Auto Assign Option for Customer/Prospect | Indicate whether you can choose to have the application assign a code when you add a customer or prospect. |
| Allow Auto Assign Option for Employee | Indicate whether you can choose to have the application assign a code when you add an employee. |
| Allow Auto Assign Option for User | Indicate whether you can choose to have the application assign a code when you add a user. |
| Auto Assign Format | Indicate whether the code assigned for an auto-assigned item will contain only numeric characters or alphanumeric characters. Viewpoint Estimating uses leading zeros when auto-creating numeric codes. |
| Number of Alpha Characters (1-5) | If the Auto Assign Format is set to Alphanumeric, select the number of alphanumeric characters
that will be used in the auto assigned code. With this field set to 5,
Viewpoint Estimating would assign a
company named Viewpoint, Inc. a code of VIEWP001. |
| Posting Date Warning Settings - These settings determine when Viewpoint Estimating displays a warning message about a posting date being too far in the past or future. | |
| Days in Past | Enter the number of days after which when you post data, Viewpoint Estimating displays a warning. For example, if you enter 30, Viewpoint Estimating displays a warning any time you post data more than 30 days in the past. |
| Days in Future | Enter the number of days before which when you post data, Viewpoint Estimating displays a warning. For example, if you enter 30, Viewpoint Estimating displays a warning any time you post data more than 30 days in the future. |
| Default Font for Rich Text Editor - These settings control the default font
for the Formatted Text Editor used throughout Viewpoint Estimating. You can still
change the font in the formatted text editor as needed. Tip: If you want to match the default font used in screens
throughout Viewpoint Estimating, set the default font name to
Tahoma and default font size to 9pt. | |
| Font Name | Select the name of the default font for the formatted text editor. |
| Font Size | Select the size of the default font for the formatted text editor. |
| Report Server Settings - These settings are available to troubleshoot issues with the Report Server. | |
| Server Name | Enter the name of the Report Server. |
| Port Number | Enter the port of the Report Server. |
| Instance Name | Enter the name of the Report Server instance. |
| Root Folder | Enter the root folder of the Report Server. |
| Domain Name | Enter the domain name of the Report Server. |
| User Name | Enter the user name of the Report Server. |
| User Password | Enter the password of the Report Server. |
| Inventory Control Settings | |
| Enforce Zero (0) Limit on Inventory Items | Select this checkbox to prevent item quantities from going below zero for a given location. If you select this checkbox, the system generates an error message if users try to create transactions (such as usage, transfers, or adjustments) that would result in a negative item quantity. |
