Report Options Screen Field Reference

This screen field reference describes the following:

All Reports tab

Use this tab to set the default values for the other tabs on the Report Options popup window.

Field

Description

Orientation

Select one of the following options to set the orientation when you print a tab:

  • Portrait

  • Landscape

Print Header / Footer

Select this checkbox to include the contents of the Header and Footer fields (discussed below) on every printed page.

Show Options Before Printing

Select this checkbox to display the Report Options popup window each time you print a tab in the Earthwork module. Deselect the checkbox to use the default settings and not display the Report Options popup window.

Region and Scale

Select one of the following options to specify how to print drawings:

  • Print Job on 1 Page - Fits the entire job on a single sheet of paper.

  • Print Zoomed Region on 1 Page - Allows you to zoom in on a particular area of your site and print only that area on a single sheet of paper.

  • Print Job to Scale - Allows you to print your job at the scale you set for the job (the job scale is listed under Current Scale within the Report Options popup window). Depending on the scale of the job, this could take several sheets of paper.

Header / Footer - Use this section to define the header and footer that appears on the document when you print a tab from the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen. The header and footer information entered on the All Reports tab is copied to each tab.

Note: You must select the Print Header / Footer checkbox to be able to enter information in the fields in this area. If you select the Print Job to Scale option button, headers and footers are not printed.

Header

Each unlabeled field represents a location on the header. For example, information entered in the top left field appears on the top left of the header. Enter information in the fields as needed.

You can use any of the following codes to display variable information in the header:

  • <REPORTNAME> - Prints the report name.

  • <DATE> - Prints the date.

  • <TIME> - Prints the time.

  • <LAYER> - Prints the name of the layer, either Existing or Proposed.

Footer

Each unlabeled field represents a location on the footer. For example, information entered in the top left field appears on the top left of the footer. Enter information in the fields as needed.

You can use any of the following codes to display variable information in the footer:

  • <REPORTNAME> - Prints the report name.

  • <DATE> - Prints the date.

  • <TIME> - Prints the time.

  • <LAYER> - Prints the name of the layer, either Existing or Proposed.

Center

Select the Center checkbox to center the information in the corresponding field when it is printed. Deselect the checkbox to left-align the information when it is printed.

Note: Only fields in the center of the header or footer can be centered. All other fields are left-aligned.

Bold

Select the Bold checkbox to bold the text in the top center header field. The top center header field is the only field in the header or footer that can be bolded.

Takeoff tab

Use this tab to set the default options for printing the Takeoff tab in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.

Cross Section tab

Use this tab to set the default options for printing the Section tab in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.

Select this checkbox to include the contents of the Header and Footer fields (discussed below) on every printed page.

Print Legend

Select this checkbox to include a legend when you print the Section tab.

Print Plan View

Select this checkbox to include a plan view representation of your site along with the printout of the cross section you selected. You can set the percent of the page to use for the plan view in the Percent field.

Percent

If you select the Print Plan View checkbox, enter the percent of the page to use when printing the plan view or click to increase or decrease the percent. You can enter a percent between 0 and 80 percent.

Note: Note that the remaining percentage is used for the section view.

Print Location Points

If you select the Print Plan View checkbox, select this checkbox to include location points for northing and easting in your printed report.

Note: You must select the Print Plan View checkbox to include location points in your printed report.

Print Cut / Fill Areas

Select this checkbox to include the cut and fill amounts required at the station you selected when you print the Section tab.

Header / Footer - Use this section to define the header and footer that appears on the document when you print the Section tab from the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.

Note: You must select the Print Header / Footer checkbox to be able to enter information in the fields in this area. If you select the Print Job to Scale option button, headers and footers are not printed.

Select this checkbox to include the area name, intersection point, x-grid, and y-grid settings, and the average haul distance when you print the Grid tab.

Note: You must select the Print Header / Footer checkbox to be able to enter information in the fields in this area. If you select the Print Job to Scale option button, headers and footers are not printed.

Totals

Select this checkbox to include the job totals when you print the Summary tab.

Areas

Select one of the following options for the amount of area-related information included when you print the Summary tab:

  • All - Prints all areas.

  • Selected - Prints only the areas you have selected.

  • None - Includes no area-specific information on your printed report.

    Note: If areas are grouped, the application only prints subtotals for area types with more than one area.

Grid

Select this checkbox to print grid lines separating the rows and columns when you print the Summary tab.

Header / Footer - Use this section to define the header and footer that appears on the document when you print the Summary tab from the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
