Media Workflow Sync

You can remove images from a task or form to free up space on your device. The images remain on the web site.

Make sure the correct project is selected in the Current Project Is field and know the workflow for the tasks or forms that have the images you want removed. If you don’t know which workflow has the images, contact customer support.
  1. Select Project Sync from the Project Setup menu and choose Media workflow Sync.
  2. Select the Workflow Template Description for the workflow containing the photos you want removed from your device.
The right pane will show the description of the workflow statuses.
  3. Right-click on the status description where you want the images to stop syncing and select Toggle media download.
  4. Select Yes to turn off the media download.
  5. Select the Apply media on device now button, represented by the circle of two arrows above the Workflow Template Description pane, to clear the device’s cache of this project.
  6. Select the X in the Running Workflow media update window.
The photos will be removed from the device on the next sync. The space will be available to store other Field View data. If you need to reclaim the space:
  • Sync all offline data.
  • Delete the project from the device.
  • Have the Field View administrator create a new device name and QR code for the project, or log into Field View Mobile and click Login TC1, and download a copy of the project.
  • If the physical size of the media is too large and the system won't let you turn it back on, contact customer support.

To add the images back to the project sync, open the Toggle media download window again and select the Workflow Template Description status. Select Yes to turn on the photo download. The photos will be restored to the device if you sync the following day (or sooner if you click the Apply media on device now button and sync).
