Create a Workflow Template

You can create workflow templates that can be added to forms, tasks, and locations or to a process. You can also create workflow status templates that are assigned to processes. You can then use these workflows to track the progress as the status of forms, tasks, or locations changes.

A workflow template must have at least one status. Statuses are customized based on the needs of the organisation and can vary according to the type of workflow.

Fastpath: Business Setup > Standards And Templates > Workflow Templates
  1. Confirm that the correct business unit is selected in the Business Unit field, and that no project is selected in the Project field.
  2. Select Business Setup > Standards And Templates > Workflow Templates.
  3. Select the Add button .
  4. In the Workflow Template Name field on the Add/Edit Workflow Template screen, enter a name for the template.
  5. Select the Process Workflow checkbox to use this workflow in a process.
    Leave this checkbox cleared if you do not want to use the workflow in a process.
  6. In the Visibility area, select the option that indicates which business units can use this workflow. If you select Business Unit and Below, click to select the business unit.
  7. To change the business unit that owns this workflow, In the Owned By Business Unit field, click to select a different business unit.
  8. Click Save.
