Add or Upload Library Drawing

You can upload drawings to the library from either Trimble Connect, VFP or from your computer. You must add a revision number to all uploaded drawings.

  1. Confirm you're working in the correct project.
  2. Select the menu icon in the upper left corner, then choose Project Setup. Select Drawings.
  3. Select Drawings Library.
  4. Select +Add Library Drawing.
  5. If needed, set the correct DPIs for uploading and change the Grayscale checkbox.
  6. Select Upload Drawing.
  7. Select Add Drawing From Trimble Connect, VFP or Computer, and choose Upload Drawing.
  8. If you're adding a drawing from Trimble Connect:
    1. You must be signed in and have projects available.
    2. Select the region.
    3. Select the project and choose Continue.
    4. Select the drawing and choose Upload.
    5. Add a description of the drawing in the Description field.
    6. Select Add Drawing From Trimble Connect.
      Field View uploads the drawings and adds a tag saying they are Connect.
  9. If you’re adding a drawing from VFP:
    1. Navigate to the location of the drawing. You can use the Filter field to find the drawing more easily.
    2. Select the drawings. You can choose more than one.
    3. Choose Upload.
    4. Add a description of the drawing in the Description field. If the drawings in VFP have descriptions, they don't automatically populate in Field View.
    5. The Name and Revision fields automatically update. You can’t change these fields.
    6. Select Add Drawing from VFP.

  10. If you’re adding a drawing from your computer:
    1. Add a description of the drawing in the Description field.
    2. Add a revision number in the Revision field.
    3. Select Add Drawing from Computer.
    4. Navigate to and choose the drawings. You can choose more than one. Select Open.
      Field View uploads the drawings and adds a tag saying they are from your local computer.
