With the July release of Viewpoint For Projects, we started the integration of a viewer to see a model in 3D, allowing for the ability to zoom into and rotate the drawing. We also updated Trimble Connect to add more benefits to VFP and aligning the multi-file upload grid with other ways of making files public by adding an expiry date column when the Is Public checkbox is selected. Additionally, we added a new option to the Latest Items filter at enterprise, site, and project level, allowing you to view the items older than 90 days.

New Beta Feature! Trimble 3D Viewer

From now, you can access our new beta Trimble 3D Viewer for viewing single IFC files. This is based on the same cutting edge 3D technology that you see in Trimble Connect today. As with all beta features, this is the foundation of what the full Trimble 3D Viewer will be.

With the first version of the 3D Viewer, you can view single IFC files within VFP, zoom in and rotate the model, and edit the model with a simple toolbar. The beta feature is available to all VFP users who already have access to the BIM Module.
