Add Recruiters to HiringThing

Allow recruiters access to HiringThing, and, if applicable, assign them permission to send onboarding invitations to new hires.

Adding recruiters involves steps inTrimble Construction One, HR Management, and HiringThing.

Watch the following video to learn how to give recruiters access to HiringThing and manage their security settings in the system. For written instructions, see the steps below.

  1. Make sure your recruiters are set up as HR specialists in Trimble Construction One. To change a user's role in Trimble Construction One, your Enterprise Admin must do the following:
    1. Open the Admin Center in Trimble Construction One.
    2. Select the User Management tab.
    3. Search for the user who should be set up as an HR specialist.
    4. Select Edit for that user.
    5. Change that user's HR Management Role to Specialist.

  2. Create a permission group in HR Management to enable the Applicant Tracking (HiringThing) links for your recruiters. See Create Permission Groups for help.
    Important: Do not add companies to this permission group.
    Note: To revoke a user's access to HiringThing, you must remove them from the relevant permission group in HR Management and remove them as a user in HiringThing. See Remove a User's Permission to HiringThing for details.
  3. The first time an HR specialist access HiringThing, they are assigned a Reviewer role with limited access. To modify a recruiter's role, see Change the Account Owner or Reassign a User's Role in HiringThing.
  4. To allow recruiters to send onboarding invitations to new hires, add them to the appropriate profile groups in Onboarding, and assign them the Invite permission. See Create Profile Groups and Assign Permissions for details.
