Retiring the Report Library FAQ

Learn about the upcoming retirement of the Report Library at the end of 2026.

At the end of 2026, the current Vista Web Report Library feature will be retired. This is due to the end of support for Microsoft SQL Server 2016 in July 2026 (this is the last supported version).
  • Cloud customers will have their existing reports migrated to a new reporting solution that leverages Power BI in Trimble Construction One Analytics.
  • On-premises customers can continue using the existing library until the end of 2026.

Why is the Report Library feature being retired?

The current Report Library uses Microsoft SQL Server 2016, a technology that Microsoft will stop supporting in July 2026. In order to avoid security and maintenance risks from using an unsupported infrastructure, Vista Web is retiring the Report Library.

What is the replacement for the Report Library?

The replacement is a new, modern reporting solution utilizing Power BI through our integration with Trimble Construction One Analytics, which offers enhanced functionality.

What will happen to my existing reports?

For cloud customers, your existing reports will be automatically migrated to the new Power BI-enabled Report Library. Further details will be provided as this feature becomes available.

For on-premises customers, you must transition your reporting to the Trimble Construction One Analytics integration before the end of 2026.

Can on-premises customers keep using the old library?

Yes, but the Report Library will only be supported until the end of 2026.

What is the timeline for these changes?

We will share a more precise timeline in future communications, but you can review the following important dates for a general sense of the timing:
  • July 14, 2026: Microsoft ends extended support for SQL Server 2016, making the existing Report Library unmaintainable.
  • End of 2026: The existing Report Library is fully retired for all customers.
