Configure Email Notification Settings with OAuth2

Manage your email configuration with OAuth2 authentication to securely send emails from your portal.

  1. Select Admin > Portal Settings > Email Configuration and go to the General Configuration section.
  2. Enable OAuth2 by selecting the checkbox next to Use OAuth2 to authenticate email sending.
  3. Then make the necessary changes to each of the following settings:
    • Address of the SMTP Host:

      Enter the IP address / URL of your email host.

    • Email address to send emails from:

      Enter the email address to use in the From field for emails sent from the portal.

    • Enable SSL in SMTP:

      Match your mail server setup. This setting is disabled by default.

    • Port used by SMTP server:

      Enter the port for your SMTP server. This field defaults to 587.

    • SMTP OAuth2 Client ID:

      Enter the client ID for your application.

    • SMTP OAuth2 Client Secret:

      Enter the client secret for your application.

    • SMTP OAuth2 Tenant ID:

      Enter the tenant ID for your specific instance of Microsoft Entra.

    • Timeout length for SMTP:

      Enter the timeout length in milliseconds. This field defaults to 100000.
