Field Definitions: CM Statement Control Form
The following is a list of field descriptions for the CM Statement Control form. Many of the descriptions include links to other topics that provide additional information about or related to the topic.
CM Account
Enter the CM account number for the statement that you wish to work on.
Beginning Balance
The Beginning Balance for the statement is usually rolled over from the prior statements’ ending balance. May be overridden if the Allow Changes to Statement Beginning Balance option is checked in CM Company Parameters; otherwise, field is disabled and cannot be changed.
Statement Date
Enter the date of the statement that you are setting up or select the date using the calendar to the right.Initially defaults the latest “open” statement date, or if no open statements, then the latest “closed” statement date.
The statement date defines the statement; is used to reference cleared checks, deposits, adjustments, and transfers; and tracks the beginning and ending balances for each account.
Statement Balance
Ending balance for statement to reconcile. This field may be changed if the statement is open.
Status
Open—Open statement. Must have one open statement to use the CM Clear Entries program, but only one open statement is allowed per account.
Closed—Closed statement. Indicates the statement is reconciled.
Once the statement balances and it can be considered reconciled, set this flag to 'Closed'.
