Field Definitions: HQ Project Structure Types Form

The following is a list of field descriptions for the HQ Project Structure Types form. Many of the descriptions include links to other topics that provide additional information about or related to the topic.

Project Structure Type

The Project Structure Type field on the HQ Project Structure Types form.

Intended for use with Trimble Construction One Analytics project data reporting.

Vista provides a list of predefined, standard structure types. Use the grid or press F4 to select one of the standard project structure types.

If you are adding a new project structure type, enter the name for this project structure type.

Std Project Structure Type

The Std Project Structure Type field on the HQ Project Structure Types form.

This field is enabled for custom project structure types only.

Required.

Enter the standard project structure type to link to this custom project structure type. Press F4 for a list of valid project structure types.

If you are using Trimble Construction One Analytics, the standard project structure type selected here will be used to aggregate project data for Analytics reporting. For more information about Trimble Construction One Analytics, see About Viewpoint Analytics.

Standard

The Standard checkbox on the HQ Project Structure Types form.

Display only field, indicating standard vs. custom project structure types.

For all predefined project structure types, this checkbox is selected; for all custom predefined project structure types, this checkbox is unselected.

Notes

The Notes tab on the HQ Project Structure Types form.

Enter notes about this project structure type. Space is virtually unlimited; however, there is maximum allowance of 8k.

Note: If you are accessing this field from a grid and you need additional space for your notes, double-click in the field to access the Grid Notes form.
Add a Standard Note

Standard notes allow you to insert frequently used text into some fields in the application. This text is created and maintained using the HQ Standard Note form.

You can insert a standard note into the field using either of the following methods:
  • Right-click the mouse while focus is in the field and select Standard Notes from the shortcut menu, which opens the Std Note Copy window. Then enter the standard note to copy (or choose from F4 lookup) and select OK to insert the note.

  • If the Standard Notes option is not available from the shortcut menu, double-click in the Notes field to open the Grid Notes form. Then select Standard Notes from the shortcut menu or select the Standard Notes button in the toolbar.

Spelling Check

Select the Spelling icon on the toolbar or select Tools > Spelling to spell check the text in this field.
