Use this form to define standard cost types as classifications of equipment maintenance costs.

Cost types defined here generally represent the various costs associated with equipment repairs and maintenance, and often coincide with General Ledger accounts for equipment maintenance expenses. Examples of cost types that might be useful:

• 1 =Labor

• 2 =Material

• 3 =Sub-out Repair

• 4 =Miscellaneous (or Other)

• 5 =Ownership Costs

These cost types have no correlation to the cost types defined in Job Cost because equipment maintenance costs do not interface to JC. Instead, these codes provide a level of expense classification useful for developing reports of equipment expenses.
