Invoicing

The format of Material Sales invoices, from which invoice form is used, to how the information is sorted and printed on the invoice, is determined by several options that are defined at the company and customer levels, with some overrides provided at the quote level or when printing the invoices.

Invoice Options

Intercompany invoicing is a feature provided by Material Sales that allows you to bill another company within your corporation (sister-company) for materials they purchased from your company.

Generally, most corrections to an invoice are made before the invoice is posted to Accounts Receivable and General Ledger. However, what happens if a correction becomes necessary after the invoice has been posted to AR/GL?

The Data Entry menu is used to
      record invoices as they are received. Invoices can be tracked optionally through Unapproved
      Invoice Processing, and routed automatically to reviewers for approval. Options are available
      for correcting invoice entry errors. Typically, invoices are entered and updated, then later
      paid. In addition, credit memos, recurring invoices and subcontract progress billings can be
      created and processed. Payments can be made by issuing regular check or by manual or pre-paid
      checks. Issued checks may be voided.
