Upgrade Your Vista Login to Trimble ID

Migrate your current Vista classic login credentials to Trimble ID, and create a Trimble ID profile that you will use to sign into Vista.

In order to upgrade your login to Trimble ID, your company must have Trimble ID enabled. You should only need to complete these Trimble ID upgrade steps once. Check with your admin if you have questions.

To see how the account upgrade process works, watch this video: Upgrade Your Vista Login to Trimble ID - Video.

  1. Make sure you have access to your email account, since part of the upgrade process requires you to enter a validation code sent to the email address you enter.
  2. From the Vista login screen, select Sign In With Trimble ID.

You will be redirected to the Trimble sign in page where you can continue setting up your Trimble ID and MFA options.

Important: If your admin already set up your Vista VA User Profile with your email as your username, you should use this same email address for your Trimble ID profile.

If your organization requires you to log in using your company email, you must create your Trimble ID with this company email to be able to log into Vista.

  3. Create a Trimble ID.

After creating your Trimble ID, you should see a confirmation message that your account has been successfully created.

About the Trimble ID migration process: Vista attempts to pair your Trimble ID with your Vista account by matching the email addresses. Once Vista recognizes your email, your account will be upgraded to an SSO with Trimble ID account. Your email address is your Vista username.
  • When you migrate your Vista profile to Trimble ID, your existing Vista user-level security settings carry over to your new Trimble ID SSO profile.
  • If your Vista profile cannot be paired with your Trimble ID, you will see an error message. Contact your admin for assistance and next steps. Your admin may ask you to migrate your account again.
  • If Vista does not launch automatically, select Launch Vista to go to the application. The Trimble Work Center also opens in a new browser tab.
Going forward, you must log in to Vista using your Trimble ID. If you try to log in using classic login credentials after migrating your account to Trimble ID, you will see an error message saying your account has been deactivated, meaning your ability to log in using classic login credentials is no longer allowed.
