You may sometimes find it necessary to delete certain segments of lines while leaving the remaining segments intact.

1. Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
   Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click Estimating > Earthwork > Manage Earthwork Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
2. Select the Takeoff tab, if it is not already active.
3. Click Select on the speedbar.
4. Select the line you want to modify.
5. Click the Prop on the speedbar.
6. Click on the first station along the segment of the line you want to delete.
7. Hold Shift and click on the last station along the segment of the line you want to delete. The selected line segment is highlighted in yellow on the Takeoff tab.
8. Click Delete. The application deletes the segment of the line between the two points you selected.
9. Click OK.
