Total

Base Cost

Displays the base cost calculated based on the information entered below.

Basic

Fixed Hourly

Displays the fixed hourly rate based on the selected period and the cost per period. This field does not apply if the status is Owned.

Status

Select one of the following options for the status for the equipment item:

  • Fixed

  • Rented

  • Leased

  • Owned

Period

Select one of the following options for the period that applied for the Cost Per Period:

  • Hourly

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Yearly

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, the period is not available.

Cost Per Period

Enter the base cost per period or click to increase or decrease the cost per period. The cost per period is divided by the number of hours in the period to create the base cost.

This field does not apply if the status is Owned.

Hours Per Period

Displays the number of working hours per period. The number of working hours per period is set in the Define Globals screen in the Define Estimate Globals or the Define Catalog Globals

This field does not apply if the status is Owned.

Delivered Price

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, enter the delivered price of the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the delivered price.

ProContractor divides the Delivered Price by the Hours Of Use Per Year multiplied by the Life In Years to calculate the Base Cost.

Salvage Value

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, enter the salvage value of the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the salvage value.

ProContractor divides the Salvage Value by the Hours Of Use Per Year multiplied by the Life In Years and subtracts the result from the Base Cost.

Life in Years

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, enter the numbers of years you expect to be able to use the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the number of years.

Hours Of Use Per Year

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, enter number of hours the equipment item can be used in one year or click to increase or decrease the number of hours.

Finance %

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, enter percentage rate per year of the financing used to purchase the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the finance percent.

ProContractor calculates the interest amount paid on the full Delivered Price over 12 months based on the Finance % and divides the result by the Hours Of Use Per Year. ProContractor adds the result to the Base Cost.

Insurance, Taxes, Storage %

If the equipment item has a status of Owned, enter the percentage of the delivered price that you pay per year for insurance, taxes, and storage for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the percentage.

ProContractor multiplies this percentage by the Delivered Price and adds the result to the Base Cost.

Fuel

Type of Fuel

Select one of the following options for the type of fuel the equipment item uses:

  • Diesel

  • Gasoline

Fuel Gal/Hour

Enter the number of gallons of fuel the equipment item uses per hour of operation or click to increase or decrease the number of gallons per hour.

ProContractor multiplies the number of gallons per hour by the fuel cost per gallon displayed in the At field and adds the result to the Base Cost.

At

Displays the fuel price per gallon. The price is set by fuel type in the Define Globals screen in the Define Estimate Globals or the Define Catalog Globals

Lube, Filters / Hour

Enter the dollar amount for lubricant and filters the equipment item uses per hour of operation or click to increase or decrease the amount.

ProContractor adds this amount to the Base Cost.

Service - Use the fields to define the average service costs and the time between service. For each service item, the Service Cost is divided by the Hours Between and that result is added to the Base Cost.

Minor

Service Cost

Enter the average cost of a minor service for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the cost.

Hours Between

Enter the average number of hours of use between each minor service for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the number of hours.

Major

Service Cost

Enter the average cost of a major service for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the cost.

Hours Between

Enter the average number of hours of use between each major service for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the number of hours.

Tires/Treads

Service Cost

Enter the average cost of tires or treads for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the cost.

Hours Between

Enter the average number of hours of use between tire or tread replacement for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the number of hours.

Other

Service Cost

Enter the average cost of other service for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the cost.

Hours Between

Enter the average number of hours of use between each other service for the equipment item or click to increase or decrease the number of hours.

Additional Options

Offer to update similar items
