Create a formula in an estimate by copying an existing formula

  1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
  2. Open the Estimate tab.
  3. Click FM on the speedbar.
  4. In the Formula field, enter a code of up to eight alphanumeric characters to identify the formula.
    Note: Alphanumeric characters include the letters A through Z, the numerals 0 through 9, and all special characters except comma, dash, period, percent, tilde, and single quote.
  5. In the field to the right of the Formula field, enter a name for the formula.
  6. Press Tab.
  7. Click Copy Formula.
  8. In the Copy From field in the Copy From Options popup window, do one of the following:
    • Enter the code of the formula you want to copy.
    • Click to select the formula you want to copy from a Lookup List.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Complete the fields as described on the Formula Maintenance Screen Field Reference.
  11. Click Save Formula.
After creating a formula, you may want to use it when you Create an Enterprise Level Assembly.
