Schedule Details
This document details the various settings available for configuring sync schedules.
Overview
- Edit the name of the schedule
- Choose the sync direction
- Customize when the sync operation should take place
- Choose the sync locations
Sync Direction

| Bi-directional Sync
Bi-directional sync transfers new and updated data from the server and local repositories. | ||
| Upload Only
Upload only will only sync new or changed data from your local repository to the server. | ||
| Download Only
Download only will only sync new or changed data from the server to your local repository. | ||

Transfer the project content “as it is” to the Server and make the project content in the Server identical to that in the local machine. This includes adding, updating, renaming, removing, and moving of files and folders. ![]() |
Sync Frequency (When)
Manual
Manual syncs will not happen automatically. You must trigger the sync operation manually by selecting the Sync button on the Projects Tab.
Hourly
Sync operations can be set for every 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 hr, 2 hrs, 3 hrs, 6 hrs, or 12 hrs.
Daily
Schedule a sync operation to happen at the same time each day. The hour and minute can be set.
Weekly
Schedule a sync operation to start at the same time each week. The day, hour, and minute can be set.
Project Location
Choose the local and server folder path that the sync operation will occur. Changing the folder paths will allow you to sync particular folders that may differ from the main project folder.
- Open Trimble Connect Sync.
- Navigate to the project whose schedule you want to edit.
- Select the Advanced button on the right of the project.
- Select the Edit icon to modify the schedule settings.
- Under the Project location, select Browse.
- Select the local folder location that you want to use for sync operations.
- Select Ok.
- Select Change server path.
- Navigate to the project folder you want to have your local folder synced to.
- Select Set Sync Root.
- Select Done.
