Enter a comment about the alternate. |
Sort 1 |
If you have selected a WBS code for the primary sort for alternates, click If you want to sort alternates without using WBS codes, enter the primary sort value for this alternate. If no WBS code is set for the sort field, Sort1 is displayed to the right of the field. See Sort an Alternate for information. |
Sort 2 |
If you have selected a WBS code for the secondary sort for alternates, click If you want to sort alternates without using WBS codes, enter the secondary sort value for this alternate. If no WBS code is set for the sort field, Sort2 is displayed to the right of the field. See Sort an Alternate for information. |
Sort 3 |
If you have selected a WBS code for the tertiary sort for alternates, click If you want to sort alternates without using WBS codes, enter the tertiary sort value for this alternate. If no WBS code is set for the sort field, Sort3 is displayed to the right of the field. See Sort an Alternate for information. |
Print on Bid |
Select the checkbox to print the alternate on bids created for the estimate. |
Include on Reports |
Select the checkbox to include the alternate in reports. |
Summary - This area displays summary information for the alternate including totals by cost item type, change order cost, financials, and extended cost. The fields in this area are display only. |

Alt Cost |
Displays the cost of the alternate cost items. Note if the alternate deducts cost items from the estimate, this number could be negative. |
Financials |
Displays the total allocations for the financial cost items included in the alternate. If the alternate needs to be recalculated, this field appears in red. |
Xtd Cost |
Displays the extended cost of the alternate, which is the alternate cost plus the allocated financials. If the alternate needs to be recalculated, this field appears in red. |
Detail tab
Use this tab to manage the cost items in the alternate. You can change certain fields, such as quantity, units, and unit cost, directly in the Detail tab.
