Use the Estimating Explorer to copy the Global Parameters of a catalog or estimate to another catalog or estimate. You can copy:

• WBS structures

• WBS code field names

• Other cost type field names

• Calculator parameters

This feature is often used to copy the WBS code names and structures from a catalog to an estimate, which is based on the selected catalog.

When you copy WBS code, Export code, and Other cost type field names, you are copying the column headings from the source to the target. Copying the WBS code structures copies all the values, descriptions, quantities, units, and baselines entered for each item in the WBS codes. You cannot copy just one WBS code structure. You must copy all the WBS code names or structures together. You can delete any unwanted WBS code names or structures later.
