Create and Edit Trimble ID Passkeys

If you didn't set up a passkey when you first created your Trimble ID, or want to add another passkey, use your Trimble ID profile page to do it.

MFA resets do not delete passkeys

If Support has temporarily disabled your MFA so you can regain access to your Trimble ID account, all your MFA setup will be erased except your passkey(s). If it was your Passkey preventing your access and you want it deleted, you must delete it manually.

Passkeys are encrypted digital keys you create using your fingerprint, facial recognition, or PIN. You can edit and delete them as needed.
Tip: You can set up more than one passkey if you want. Even if you have only one passkey, you should set up more than one MFA method.
  1. Go to myprofile.trimble.com and log in using your Trimble ID.
  2. In the Manage Passkeys section, select Create a passkey.
  3. Enter your password, then select Sign In.
You can read about passkeys on the informational screen that discusses using passkeys to streamline your sign in.
  4. Select Create a passkey again.
  5. Follow the prompts in your browser or on your device to create a passkey.
  6. Enter a Passkey name and select Continue.
A message displays saying your passkey has been created.
  7. Select Done to return to your profile page.
  8. To edit the name of a passkey, select the edit icon to the right of the passkey, enter a new name, and select Save.
  9. To delete a passkey, select the X to the right of the passkey, enter your current password and passkey, then select Remove.
To sign in using a passkey, select Use a passkey on the login screen.
Important: When signing in, do not select Use a passkey if you haven't already set one up. Passkeys cannot be created from the login screen.
