View an IFC File

After enabling the Trimble Connect feature, you can view an IFC file in the 3D viewer.

Models created in IFC 4.3.2 are compatible.

Select the required container and then select the required IFC file.
Select the mouse icon and select View IFC to display the 3D Viewer.
Select View IFC (Classic) to see the models in the classic view.
Select the Models icon to open the Model panel.
Select the Layers icon to open the Layers panel.
Select the Camera icon to save an adjusted view of the model.

Note: You can select multiple IFC files and view them using the 3D Viewer.

Note: If your model was published to VFP from Trimble Connect, and if the file’s ID in VFP and Trimble Connect match, you will be able to view the model directly in Trimble Connect. To open the file in Trimble Connect, you need to right-click on the mouse icon and select View in Trimble Connect.
