Create a Project Plan

Create a project plan for a project to outline the tasks that need to be completed for a project. If needed, you can select internal users who should review the project plan.

Reviewers should use the steps outlined in the Review and Approve Project Documents topic to review a project plan. Once you have created the project plan, you can create a PDF file from a project plan form that you can view, print, or send in an e-mail.
  1. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your document management defaults.
    Note: You can only use document routing if you have selected the Document Routing Distribution Control checkbox on the Document Management Settings screen.
  2. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your project plan types.
  3. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your document routing distribution groups.
  4. On the Enter Project Plan screen, create a project plan.
  5. Optional: Select the users and/or the document routing distribution group that will review the project plan.
  6. Optional: If needed, contact the reviewers to advise them to review the project plan.
  7. Optional: On the View Tasks screen, periodically view the status of the document routing for the project plan to monitor the review process.
  8. Optional: Once the project plan is approved, manage the project plan and the PDF file as needed.
