Create a quick assembly in an estimate

  1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
  2. Open the Estimate tab.
  3. Select Add on the speedbar.
  4. In the Type field, select the Quick Assembly option button.
  5. In the Reference field, enter a reference number for the quick assembly. You can leave this blank or use an existing reference.
  6. In the Description field, enter a detailed description for the quick assembly.
  7. Select the Auto increment reference number by checkbox, to automatically increment the reference number for the next item added.
  8. Select the Edit item detail after add checkbox to edit the quick assembly immediately after you create it.
  9. Select one of the following options to specify where the cost item will appear in the estimate:
    • Append Items to Estimate – To add the item to the end of the estimate.
    • Insert items after – To add the item after the currently selected row.
  10. Select Add.
  11. From the Units field, select to select the units for the assembly item.
  12. For each cost item type, enter the quantity to include for 1 unit of the assembly item.
  13. Select OK.
  14. If you selected the Edit item detail after add checkbox, go to step 15. If you did not select the Edit item detail after add checkbox, go to step 16.
  15. Complete the fields as described on the Cost Item Screen Field Reference.
  16. Select OK.
  17. If needed, you can continue adding new items by repeating steps 4-16.
  18. Select Close.
