Create a quick assembly in an estimate
- Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
- Open the Estimate tab.
- Select Add
on the speedbar.
- In the Type field, select the Quick Assembly option button.
- In the Reference field, enter a reference number for the quick assembly. You can leave this blank or use an existing reference.
- In the Description field, enter a detailed description for the quick assembly.
- Select the Auto increment reference number by checkbox, to automatically increment the reference number for the next item added.
- Select the Edit item detail after add checkbox to edit the quick assembly immediately after you create it.
- Select one of the following options to specify where the cost item will appear in the estimate:
- Append Items to Estimate – To add the item to the end of the estimate.
- Insert items after – To add the item after the currently selected row.
- Select Add.
- From the Units field, select
to select the units for the assembly item.
- For each cost item type, enter the quantity to include for 1 unit of the assembly item.
- Select OK.
- If you selected the Edit item detail after add checkbox, go to step 15. If you did not select the Edit item detail after add checkbox, go to step 16.
- Complete the fields as described on the Cost Item Screen Field Reference.
- Select OK.
- If needed, you can continue adding new items by repeating steps 4-16.
- Select Close.
