Create a visual assembly in an estimate
- Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
- From the Estimate tab, select the row where you want to add the visual assembly. If you don't select a row, the visual assembly is added to the end of the Estimate.

Click Add
on the speedbar.
- Under Type, select Visual Assembly.
- In the Reference field, enter a unique reference number for the visual assembly. You can leave this blank or use an existing reference.
- In the Description field, enter a description for the visual assembly.
- Select the Auto increment reference number by checkbox to have the Estimating module automatically increment the reference number for the next item added.

If you selected the checkbox in the previous step, enter the number by which to increment the reference number in the field to the right or click
to increase or decrease the number.
- Select the Edit item detail after add checkbox to edit the visual assembly immediately after you create it.

Select one of the following options to specify where the cost item will appear in the estimate:
Append Items to Estimate – To add the item to the end of the estimate.
Insert items after – To add the item after the currently selected row.
- Click Add.
- From the New Visual Assembly popup window, select the type of visual assembly you want to create.
- Click OK.
- Complete the fields as described on the Visual Assembly Screen Field Reference. The pages available depend on the item type.

to select the page from the field in the upper right corner of the Visual Assembly popup window.
- When you have entered all the parts, click Finished.
