Use the Estimating Import/Export Tool to export library data in Microsoft Access format. It can then be imported into the Estimating module. This is useful for moving libraries between computers when the need arises or to back up libraries. Use the custom library option to select a specific library from the Takeoff tab to export.

The following items are included in the libraries export:

• Lines

• Alternates

• Symbols

• Job/Catalog

• Formulas

• Summary

• Calculators

• Import/Export Templates

To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click Estimating > Estimating > Manage Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
